Membership
A person must be sponsored by an existing member to become part of a Rotary club.
This is done when a Rotarian knows someone well enough to know that they would measure up to the standards and ideals of Rotary International, and only then is the invitation given.

Qualifications
The following list of occupations are the preliminary measures for membership in a Rotary club.
Persons who own or run a business.
Professional people. Doctors, Engineers, etc.
Division or Department heads who supervise other employees.
Educational administrators.
If in doubt, ask a Rotarian to inquire for you. In addition to the above,
there is a limit on the number of any one occupation that can be members in a particular club.
